Adam Levine has been a judge on NBC’s hit singing competition “The Voice” since it launched, so many were shocked when he decided not to return this year. Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson returned to help original cast member Blake Shelton.
Levine is finally opening up about his decision not to rejoin the show saying, “I really do miss it. I love the people that I met and worked with, and obviously we all know how I feel about Blake.” He added, “but I also don’t miss how much I had to work. I was just constantly working for so many years. Very lucky, very fortunate, very blessed, and all that, but just to be able to stop in this moment to spend time with my new young family and just have the greatest time ever.”
Levin says he’s enjoying being a stay at home dad right now to his two children explaining, “I’m obsessed with them. I mean, I know that’s a good thing because they’re my children, but that’s why I don’t do much.”
Watch Adam discuss this with Ellen, below.
Levin and his band Maroon 5 announced on “Ellen” that they will be going on tour soon. Meanwhile, The Voice announced that their next new judge will be Nick Jonas. The Jonas Brother star will join Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton for the next season.
